Game Developer CD Projekt Red is set to release patch 1.20 early next week for all platforms. The said update contains over eighty different changes, from performance tweaks to visual and gameplay enhancements, together with some bug fixes. The patch 1.20 also comes in time for the Blood and Wine DLC launching.

The latest Witcher 3 update is currently available for Xbox One, where it weighs in at 2.9 GB. For PC and PlayStation users, expect the update in the next couple of days.

The Witcher 3 earned praises from critics all over the world, but some gamers complain about its cluttered and confusing interface. There are also concerns about the in-game menu, where navigating the inventory can often be a pain.

Now, the patch 1.20 will fix those issues in some ways. Once the update is released, players will be able to see the contents of books and scrolls upon picking them up. The items in the inventory will be sorted into five subcategories within grids. Players will see oils, potions and bombs; quest items and others; food and equestrian gear; weapons and armor; and crafting and alchemy. If a player is using a controller, the right stick can be used to navigate sections of slots in the inventory, as per reports from Polygon.

There are also changes in the quick access menu. Players will be able to choose two modes for the menu: one that slows down the current behavior and the other pauses the action completely.

Furthermore, one of the interesting additions is "A Miraculous Guide to Gwent." This book will display the number of Gwent cards missing from the player's base-game collection. Players can get this guide through the scholar in the Prologue or from the merchant in the Gildorf district of Novigrad.

The complete patch notes of update 1.20 are listed here.

Meanwhile, Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's Blood and Wine DLC is expected to be released next week on Tuesday, May 31. CD Projekt Red's co-founder Marcin Iwinski recently announced this DLC will be the last expansion pack for the game. It reportedly contains more than 30 hours of adventure that is filled with unexpected twists, romance, and deceit.

Based on the expansion's trailer, it will introduce plenty of intense-looking creatures, such as giant centipedes, barghests, a massive golem-like enemy and vampire.
