We have previously reported how Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Siege is going to be a very cooperative and competitive video game, and the franchise is another offering from both Ubisoft and the ideas of Tom Clancy, the late author of some of the world's best-selling spy novels. Considering recent events last week, gamers are more than ready to step into the shoes of the international counter-terrorist unit code-named "Rainbow," working together as a team to handle tough combat missions. Ubisoft has given players the chance for players to play for free before the game's official release date, as there will be an open beta for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
According to Gotta Be Mobile, Ubisoft is preparing for their final video game launch of the year with a Rainbow Six Siege Beta, which will be available for testing by anyone with a current generation console or Windows PC on November 25th. This is for free starting on that date and ending Sunday, November 29th, allowing potential players of the game to do something during the downtime of the four-day Thanksgiving weekend.
Heading to the Ubisoft website will open up a way to pre-load the open beta on November 23rd, then "come back on Monday". It is also possible to do this another way, depending on your device. For Xbox One, go to Games and search for the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta. For PS4, go to the PlayStation Store and search for the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta. For the Uplay PC (software owned by Ubisoft), Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Open Beta will be in your Games list after launch.
Available to play on the open Beta includes 14 Operators and 5 Reserves, plus 3 Maps to play on Day or Night (Kanal, Hereford, and House). There are 3 Games Modes like PVP 5 vs. 5 with Bomb and Secure Area, and then PVE 1-5 vs. AI of Disarm Bomb.
The game is all about working as a team as players communicate with each other to come up with their strategies of defeating levels. The Attackers include Thermite, Ash, Thatcher, Blitz, I.Q., Glaz, and Montagne, while the Defenders include Castle, Pulse, Mute, Bandit, Tachanka, Kapkan, and Doc. These operators all have different abilities to aid players, and it should be noted that Fuze, a favorite for players during the closed beta, will not be available to play.
It was during the closed beta where the participants were not able to publicize their experiences with the new game, but on the open beta, anything goes. Chances are, players of the open beta will complain about any negative experiences, which will hopefully give time to the development team to do any fixes before the official release date.
Rainbow Six Siege will have its official release date on December 1st. It will be followed four months later by another long-awaited Ubisoft game with Tom Clancy's The Division.
