Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege was quite a well-received first-person shooter following its beta test last fall and its release date last December.  Yesterday, there was a major update from Ubisoft to Rainbow Six Siege known as update 3.0.  This update included Operation Dust Line, some new Downloadable Content (DLC), and this is the information that we have on it.

According to True Achievements, the main features of Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Dust Line include some characters a map.  The characters of Valkyrie and Blackbeard are exclusive to season pass holders for the first 7 days, and then they will be available for all players to purchase via R6 Credits or Renown.  These two new characters are both Navy SEALs (Sea, Air, and Land) who have their own unique gadgets.  Blackbeard has a Transparent Armored Rifle Shield to offer protection and vision, while Valkyrie has a "Black Eye" Gyro Cam Mk2, a deployable sticky cam that also increases vision.

The map is known as Border, and will be available for all Rainbow Six Siege players to enjoy from the get-go, and it is "the most destructible and open map to date".  According to PlayStation Lifestyle, the second major content update also introduces new weapon skins, advanced customization options, plus the ability to change your loadouts between rounds and a lot more.

There are also bonuses like Weapon Skins with USA desert Camo, the Dust Line signature skin, the Navy skin, and a lot more.  There is also swappable headgear as well as charms for weapons.  The charms feature things like a medal or unicorn that you can put on before battle.

The update also has more new features like the Winning Team Showcase, to show the winning teams' operators displayed in all their glory at the end of the final round.  There is also loadout customization between rounds, which is possible by selecting your operator and go their loadout to select the weapon, attachments, charms, and headgear.

There have been other enhancements made to the game such as Operating Balancing.  The way the IQ device has been changed as players will be able to see through the screen with an outline of detected devices.

The gadgets have also been improved such as there is a new flow for placing them.  Instead of holding a key or button and letting it go when you are ready to place the gadget, you can now press it to take out the gadget, and hold it to place it.

A full list of all the upgrades can be found on the Rainbow Six Ubisoft page, and it includes some anti-cheat optimizations as well as a list of bug fixes, along with improved HDR rendering.
