It seems that Xbox One is the favored platform for Ubisoft's "The Division." The first DLC of the game is set land on Xbox One first, and PS4 And PC will get it 30 days after. Now, here's the latest round up of news about The Division DLC release date, content and betas.
The Division game itself will arrive on all three platforms --- Xbox One, PS4 and PC-- on March 8. However, its first expansion pack will be on Xbox One first, and then PS4 and PC will receive it 30 days after. Right now, it's unclear if all of the DLCs will release in this set-up, but some gamers guess it would the case.
Here is the list of The Division DLCs:
Expansion Pack 1: "Underground" - This DLC will let players explore the underworld of New York City. Expect uncharted territories to investigate and challenging missions to complete.
Expansion Pack 2: "Survival" - This game add-on will feature a new game mode where players must survive for as long as possible in a new game setting.
Expansion Pack 3: "Last Stand" - More details about this expansion pack soon.
Players can have all of these three expansions packs when they purchase the Tom Clancy's The DivisionTM Season Pass. Aside from exclusive from access to all DLCS, the premium package owners will receive new items, such as the sawed-off shotgun.
Meanwhile, Forbes said the different release date of DLC to Xbox, PS4 and PC might split The Division's playerbase in a really weird way. If the three expansion packs are given to Xbox a month before PS4 and PC, "that's going to fracture discussion about the game in a way that is horrible for keeping a cohesive community together."
It is also interesting to note that the open beta for Xbox One players will start tomorrow, February 18. The Microsoft console owners will have a 24-hour head start over their brethren on PC and PS4. The beta test will check the bugs as preparation for the game's March 8 release.
For players who are interested to join the open beta, check the downloadable links for the console versions below, while the PC executable is available here.
Tom Clancy's The Division game takes place in a post-apocalyptic New York, where players control an agent of the titular Division. The player's mission is to restore orders in the city by investigating the source of a virus. It's a shooter/RPG hybrid game coupled with survival elements.
