Uncharted 4 Gets Recklessly Destructive in New Gameplay Trailer

Naughty Dog has a hit Nathan Drake gaming franchise that they intend to bring to a close with Uncharted 4: A Thief's End.  Unfortunately, the game keeps getting delayed, but fans certainly want it ASAP, and they can soon access the open beta test.  The success of the Uncharted movie, due out next year, could create more demand for more games, but that's a story for another time.  Until then, here is the news on Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Release Date and Beta times.

According to Engadget, fans are going to have to wait longer for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, planning to launch on May 10th.  This is a delay from its April 26 release date, which was originally supposed to be originally March 18.  In fact, this doesn't look like this is the third delay, but perhaps the fourth as we once reported to "expect it for the holidays."  Of course, fans are disappointed that Naughty Dog has delayed the game yet again, and yes, the developers want to give the players the best game that they can to conclude the franchise as the reason for the delay.

For those that want to play the game early on a beta, that is possible.  DNA India reports that Naughty Dog is gearing up to have an Uncharted 4 public beta on the PlayStation 4.  In fact, the beta testing is already open to customers who purchased Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, but it is possible that this open beta will demonstrate the game's multiplayer mode.  The reason for multiplayer open betas is to test the server stability as well as connectivity issues.  The beta test will begin at 5 PM GMT on March 4, and run until March 6.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is a bundle that combines the hit games of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception in one collection for the PS4.  The purpose is to prepare players for the release of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, and each of the games is remastered with only single player campaigns.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End takes place three years after Uncharted 3, and suddenly Sam, Nathan Drake's older brother who was thought to be dead, comes in.  Sam has his life hanging by a thread, and is looking to find some legendary pirate artifact.   This leads Drake and Sam to some mythical pirate colony in Madagascar known as Libertaria, and in conflict with two rivals named Rafe and Nadine who also want the artifact.

This final entry of the game franchise is gearing up for a success, which makes fans wonder about the movie.  According to the official imdb page, the film is going to be released on June 30, 2017, over a year after the final game comes out (assuming there are no more delays).  There is very little known about it, but here is the official plot summary:  "A descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nathan Drake believes he has learned the whereabouts of El Dorado, the fabled South American golden city, from a cursed golden statue. The search becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fray."  There is no cast listing on the film at the present time, but everyone seems to want Firefly and Castle star Nathan Fillion to play the lead role. Considering that fans have noted that the actor resembles the character, and the fact they have the same first name is an added bonus.
