Game developer Naughty Dog announced the release date of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is on May 10. According to the game developers, the final installment of the game franchise is now finished and gamers should expect an explosive farewell on Nathan Drake's adventure.
Now, here's the latest round-up of update on Uncharted 4 release date, new maps, contents and rumors on the web.
International Business Times reported Uncharted 4's story is about Drake's quest to find the elusive treasure of Henry Avery, a real-life 17th century pirate. The ship of Avery reportedly contains gold and jewels equivalent to around $400 before vanishing without a trace.
Now, Drake is back in treasure-hunting business, together with Sully and Sam. The latter is Nathan's older brother who everyone thought was dead. Sam also holds a vital clue that could lead them to Avery's lost treasure. The three head to Madagascar to find the ship of Avery named the Fancy.
Unfortunately, a group called Shoreline, led by Nadine Ross, is willing to kill anyone who wants to find Avery's treasure.
Interestingly, players can now use vehicles in larger action scenes. Players can control the 4x4 across Madagascar as they shoot, dodge and crash their way through rough surfaces. In addition, the vehicle is another way to explore ruins and overcome dangerous obstacles.
According to IGN, players can feel an authentic driving experience in the game's 4x4 vehicle, thanks to the realistic video game physics. The surfaces that players have to drive overreact to their vehicle that they can feel every bump and grind.
Furthermore, the final installment of Uncharted 4 looks better, bigger and more beautiful than its previous versions. It offers more diverse gameplay, more detailed feel to the world and thrilling storyline.
As for the ending of Drake's journey, creative director Neil Druckmann said fans should expect big.
"I think people will discuss the ending. If focus tests are anything to go by, there will be some arguments about the ending," Druckmann told in IGN during a recent A Thief's End demo event. He also added that indifference between people's opinion about the ending would be the worst thing, but he prefers people would hate the game than be indifferent to it.
