Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence and Democratic vice presidential rival Tim Kaine will go up against one another on the podium this coming Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
The venue for the vice presidential debate 2016 will be at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. This marks the very first time that both vice presidential candidates will go head-to-head in the 2016 presidential cycle, and it might even be the last.

The forum will kick off at 9 p.m. EST and last for one and a half hours, with an estimated end time of 10:30 p.m. EST. There will be no commercial breaks in between (phew!), at least according to the Commission on Presidential Debates. To date, both Mike Pence and Tim Kaine have been pretty quiet, not going around on a campaign trail in order to promote their presidential tickets. The last time that they addressed the American people was at their respective Republican and Democratic conventions in July, and most voters would not have heard or known about them.
