Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have had a chance to debate against each other in a prime time forum, and now it would be their running mates’ turn. Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence and Democratic vice presidential rival Tim Kaine will go up against one another on the podium this coming Tuesday, October 4, 2016.

The venue for the vice presidential debate 2016 will be at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. This marks the very first time that both vice presidential candidates will go head-to-head in the 2016 presidential cycle, and it might even be the last.

Vice Presidential Debate 2016: When Is It Happening?
The forum will kick off at 9 p.m. EST and last for one and a half hours, with an estimated end time of 10:30 p.m. EST. There will be no commercial breaks in between (phew!), at least according to the Commission on Presidential Debates. This would mean you might want to empty your bladders way before the vice presidential debate kicks off, grab some chips and a beer, and pull out your favorite sofa or chair. Those living in the Pacific Time zone might want to reschedule their activity if they would want to catch it right after work is finished .

Vice Presidential Debate 2016: Where To Watch
You should be able to catch the debate as it is broadcast live on major TV networks: among them include ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, C-SPAN, CNN, Fox News and MSNBC.

Is There Any Online Streaming?
It would certainly be a travesty if the answer were to be “No”. Both ABC News and Facebook are working together in order to broadcast the debate. To add further value to the viewers, there will be a commentary before and after, which will happen live on Facebook.

Other live stream options include ABC News, Buzzfeed News, CBS News, CNN, C-SPAN, The Daily Caller, Fox News, Hulu, Huffington Post, NBC, PBS, Politico, Telemundo, The Wall Street Journal, Twitter, Univision, Yahoo and YouTube.

Anything Else That I Should Know?
CBSN Anchor and CBS News Correspondent Elaine Quijano has the honor to oversee the first and only vice presidential debate ever. This forum will be divided across 10 minute segments, so expect to see up to nine of such segments. A two minute window is allowed for response, while any remaining time will be used for candidates to respond to each other.

As for the Presidential candidates, expect the next scheduled debate to happen on Sunday, October 9 at Washington University in St. Louis with Anderson Cooper being one of the moderators.

To date, both Mike Pence and Tim Kaine have been pretty quiet, not going around on a campaign trail in order to promote their presidential tickets. The last time that they addressed the American people was at their respective Republican and Democratic conventions in July, and most voters would not have heard or known about them. Perhaps the vice presidential debate 2016 will be an event where imbalances can be corrected, and the masses will get to know their future vice president better -- as well as the points and values that they eschew.

Expect both of the candidates to use the prime time forum in order to further increase their presence in the American psyche, as they underline the various strong points of their respective running mates. Also do expect a fair amount of party propaganda, policies and proposals to be pushed forward -- all in the name of the great nation known as America.
