After the long holiday season, it's time for another round of GOP debate. The Republican candidates will face off for their sixth debate this week, followed by a half-dozen more between January and March 2016. Here's how you can watch the upcoming GOP debate.
The Fox-Business-Network-sponsored debate will start at 9 p.m. ET with the second-tier candidates starting the night early at 6 p.m. ET. If you don't have cable or the channel is not available from your provider, there are other ways to watch the sixth GOP debate.
The easiest way to watch the event is by streaming it over the internet, but Fox Business Network has not yet announced if they will broadcast the event online. In the last Fox Business Network's GOP debate, viewers were able to tune in online even without a cable subscription, so hopefully the network will stream the debate again on Thursday.
You can also go to a local bar with a penchant for political happenings, or mine your own network of friends who have cable subscription to watch the debate.
Fox Business Network assigned two of the same moderators from November for the Thursday's debate. Anchors Neil Cavuto and Maria Bartiromo are tasked to be in the middle of discussions. Cavuto is the Fox's business news editor and Bartiromo is the global markets editor.
The two anchors received good reviews from the way they handled the November debate. James Poniewozik of The New York Times said the moderators gave good questions and avoided becoming the story themselves.
Trish Regan and Sandra Smith will also repeat their roles in the undercard debate. Regan is the host of Fox Network's The Intelligence Report and Smith is co-host of Outnumbered.
The debates will be held at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. The coliseum can house more than 13,000 people and is pretty much Charleston's version of Boston's TD Garden or Chicago's United Center.
The primetime debate will feature candidates that place in the top six nationally and place within the top five in Iowa or New Hampshire. For the other candidates who will not make it to the list, they will be invited to the undercard debate.
Those invited to attend will be announced on Lou Dobbs Tonight Monday evening on Fox Business at 7 p.m. ET.
