Games that receive additional support from its developer in the form of patches are pretty common these days. After all, there is nothing quite like being able to introduce a better gameplay experience without having to release a whole new title, but rather, roll out patches that will fix bugs as they are discovered. WWE 2K17 fans who enjoy the game on the Sony PS4 and the Xbox One will be pleased to know that update 1.06 has been released. WWE 2K17 update 1.06 will not only fix whatever issues there are in the game itself, it will also include support for the upcoming Hall of Fame Showcase DLC pack.

While there has been no release date attached to the Hall of Fame Showcase DLC pack as at press time, we do know that it will require gamers to fork out $9.99 in order to obtain it. Just what kind of value for money do you think you will obtain for the Hall of Fame Showcase DLC pack? Well, it does boast of matches such as Ivory vs. Jacqueline (SmackDown 2000), Papa Shango vs. The Godfather (Dream Match), and Sting (gold and black tights) vs. Ric Flair (Clash of Champions 1988). Certainly those are matches that turn back the clock and lets you hark back to simpler days.

Back to the WWE 2K17 update 1.06 -- you would certainly need some patience and a fairly fast Internet connection of you would like to install it on your console as soon as possible. After all, the WWE 2K17 update 1.06 is touted to be 3.8GB in size, which is no laughing matter. What does it fix?

Gameplay fixes
There is a stability issue that is fixed when performing a Dirty Pin while the referee is down in a match, and so too will problems concerning different corner comeback moves not being able to be performed disappear. You will also no longer see Superstars unable to reposition an opponent back into the ring when dragging a standing opponent outside the ring. There will also be no more warping issues that happen each time one performs apron grapples from outside the ring. Superstars will also not get stuck anymore when grappling a female Custom Superstar performing an apron taunt. Basically, you can be sure that WWE 2K17 update 1.06 will make each wrestling match more enjoyable and realistic.

Online fixes
Upon applying the update, one should be able to take notice of Improved online stability when it comes to 6-Man matches that feature all Custom Superstars in WWE Live. No longer will the game freeze when quickly selecting Custom Superstars in WWE Live, and there will also be no more disconnection issue that normally happens when a friend attempts to join a session while the host was on a loading screen.

WWE Universe fixes
The “Weeks Held” statistic will now be able to track cumulative weeks across a Superstar’s title reigns in a proper manner, as opposed to continuous weeks in the longest title reign. The game is also far more stable when one makes a ruckus of multiple environmental objects while proceeding to the next match after winning in WWE Universe.
