As the month of June comes closer, many Xbox Live premium members are for waiting for the announcement of free games with Gold titles. Now, video game deal site Cheap Ass Gamer announced all Xbox Live Gold subscribers can play EA Access games, such as Star Wars Battlefront and Titanfall, for ten days for free.
The announcement is posted on Twitter. It says "All Xbox Live Gold members can check it out free from June 12-22, 2016." Gamers who are interested in the program should download the EA Access app on Xbox.
EA Access members have unlimited access to full versions of games published by EA. The program costs $5/month or $30/year, but for Xbox Live members, they can play EA-published games for free from June 12-22. Some of the games that are available in EA Access program are Titanfall, Star Wars Battlefront, Need for Speed and Battlefield Hardline.
According to GameSpot, the announcement is also for gamers who will attend EA's pre-E3 event. As previously reported, EA won't appear at E3 2016, and will instead conduct EA Play events in Los Angeles and London.
For those unaware, E3 is an annual conference for gamers. This year, it will be held from June 14 to June 16.
As for the Xbox Live with Gold games for June, Microsoft could offer AAA games for premium members. Take note that the E3 event kicks off on June, so the program could offer blockbuster games to treat their players.
It is also worth mentioning that the Xbox Live program has been generous when it comes to giving away games. The program previously offered games like Lords of the Fallen, Sunset Overdrive, Borderlands, Dead Space, Saints Row IV and The Wolf Among Us.
It only costs $59.99 to become a Xbox Live Gold member for a year. The program gives subscribers access to a selection of free games that change every month. Not only that that, but it also offers exclusive deals and freebies.
While waiting for June's free games, Xbox Live Games with Gold members can still access the games that are available this month. Peggle is still playable for Xbox 360 owners, and Defense Grid 2 is still accessible for Xbox One owners. In fact, Xbox One owners can play both Peggle and Defense Grid 2, thanks to backward compatibility feature.
Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry Hryb is expected to announce the lineup for June next week. Stay tuned with us for more updates.
