    Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant signed a state measure Tuesday (April 5) that allows public and private businesses to refuse service to same-sex couples based on the employers' religious beliefs. House Bill 1523 was passed by state legislators Friday. Gay rights' advocates have been protesting the law this week, saying the legislation is outright discriminatory.

  • Religion Should Be 'Delinked' from Terrorism Says India Prime Minister Narendra Modi

    Deeming terrorism as the enemy of humanity, India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi Sunday said during a visit to Saudi Arabia that there was a global need to "delink" religion from such violence. Modi said there can be no distinction between "good" or "bad" terrorism and that it has "no caste, color, creed or religion."
