Looking for hybrid car with efficient fuel technology? The 2016 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid might be perfect for you. The price of this gasoline-electric car starts at $28, 64, and it only consumes one gallon of gasoline for 48 miles.

With that price, it already includes an $875 destination charge for standard LT model. Expect to see this Chevy hybrid car in the market in spring 2016. Moreover, showrooms around the country will display the Chevy Malibu before the year ends.

The latest car from General Motors Inc. was unveiled back in April at the 2015 New York Auto Show. Detroit-based company said they created it with the lightest materials available. In fact, a Forbes article described the car as "shockingly light." Because of its weight, expect Chevy Malibu is one of the fastest new cars in the market.

Furthermore, given that the car is lighter, it is also faster than before, courtesy of a new processor behind the scenes, a review from Slash Gear published.

It can drive entirely on electric power for a mile or so, and General Motors expects it to be rated at 47 mpg combined (48 mpg city, 45 mpg highway). This feature is largely powered by the latest 2016 Chevy Volt.

The Malibu is equipped with modified Voltec drive mechanism, , but with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine in place of the Volt's 1.5-liter engine, and a much smaller, 1.5-kilowatt-hour, lithium-ion battery pack.

The latest car from General Motors also houses Chevy's first exhaust-gas heat recovery, which uses engine heat to warm up the cabin for more consistent fuel economy during cold weather.

For its interior features, expect Malibu Hybrid to sport state-of-the-art facilities. Inside the car, drivers can use the 7.0-inch touchscreen with My Link Radio system. The car's software is also compatible with Apple Car Play, Android Auto, wireless charging and related features.

The car is loaded with safety features for driver's peace of mind. Drivers of the Malibu is secured with lane-keep assistance, adaptive cruise control, pedestrian detection and forward-collision warning with automatic braking, and rear-cross traffic alert, among other things.

In addition to the hybrid car, Chevy also offers 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains in the Malibu.

The smaller engine is rated at 31 mpg combined (27 mpg city, 37 mpg highway), while the larger engine gets 26 mpg combined (22 mpg city, 33 mpg highway).
