2016 NBA Trade Rumors: Timberwolves Looking To Get Joakim Noah?

Since 2007, Joakim Noah has been with the Chicago Bulls. But, as suggested by new rumors, there's a chance that he might leave the team and join the Minnesota Timberwolves next season.

The speculations about Noah going with the Timberwolves sparked after rumors about the alleged rift in the relationship between him and the Bulls office. As noted by the Chicago Sun Times, the two parties are having a bit of a misunderstanding and it seems Noah is not particularly fond of his general manager Gar Foreman handles the team.

Due to this dispute, Noah could leave the Bulls and accept an offer another team. The Timberwolves, on the other hand, fit very well into this story since the team's current head coach is Tom Thibodeau. NBA fans might remember him as the coach of the Bulls from 2010 to 2015. He was fired by the team last year following Chicago's 6-games series loss in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But, aside from once sharing a team, it seems the relationship between Noah and Thibodeau is pretty deep since various sources are indicated that the former flourished during the latter's time with the Bulls. And, with their dynamic relationship, Thibodeau could influence the decision-making strategies of the Timberwolves management and throw Noah's name into the mix.

Of course, a reunion for Noah and Thibodeau can only happen if the Bulls decide to let go of the center. And, as previously reported, one of the team's priorities is making sure that Noah stays on the roster.

But, even if the Bulls decide to release Noah, he might have a hard time finding a new home or one that can provide a high offer. For one, he suffered a season-ending injury last year and needs to undergo surgery. But aside from this, his career with the Bulls show that he is prone to injuries. 1500 ESPN reported.

For a team, these are some of the factors that could seriously affect their decision to sign a player. After all, before making an investment, it has to guarantee first that it will get its money's worth.
