Now that he's a free agent, quarterback Robert Griffin III is currently doing his rounds to find a potential new team. And, one of the teams he recently visited earlier this week is the Cleveland Browns.

Before heading over to Cleveland, Griffin went to New York first to check out the Jets. Although his meeting with the team went well, it seems he had a better time during his visit to Cleveland on March 20.

"Robert Griffin III met with the Browns today on an official visit, sources say," Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports tweeted. "Now flying out of Cleveland but sounds like a good visit."

Aside from Garafalo, it seems the staff of the Browns also think that their meeting with the athlete went well. In fact, Hue Jackson, the head coach of the Browns also said that he enjoyed Griffin's visit.

"It was a great meeting," he told NFL Media. "I think he's obviously a tremendous talent and a great young man. He had a lot of success early in Washington and then things just didn't work out. Those things happen in the National Football League."

Griffin began his professional career in the NFL in 2012 after he was drafted by the Washington Redskins. During his time with the team, he was credited with a total of 8,097 passing yards with a passer rating of 91.0.

However, earlier this month, the Redskins decided to let go of Griffin. The decision to release him may have something to do with his injuries that cost him the starting position in the team.

As noted by Sportsragous, Griffin will most likely be a good choice for the Browns given his athleticism. But then again, this will also depend on the athlete's performance and his overall health.

However, despite the favorable meeting between the Browns and Griffin, Jackson stressed that the team is being careful regarding picking its new members. Aside from Griffin, Cleveland is also reportedly take away Colin Kaepernick from the San Francisco 49ers.

"We are going through our process," he said. "We are going to be very diligent in what we are doing - trying to make sure that we put the right quarterbacks on our football team and in that quarterback room."
