As the trade updates and rumors regarding the 2016 NFL season roll in, football fans can't help but see the buzz surrounding the fate of quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Currently, there are three teams vying to snatch the 28-year-old athlete from the San Francisco 49ers.

One of the teams trying to get Kaepernick's attention is the Denver Broncos. During the first weeks of this month, the Broncos already lost two key players from its roster. This began when Peyton Manning, the quarterback who led the team to victory in Super Bowl 50, decided that it's time to retire.

Then, days after Manning made the announcement, backup QB Brock Osweiler signed a $72 million, four-year contract with the Houston Texans. These departures strongly suggest that the Broncos is in need of a quarterback who will look over the team this season especially if Denver wants to secure a two-peat championship.

Rumors indicate that the Broncos has expressed its interest to get Kaepernick in its roster for the 2016 NFL season. But, since the team was able to get Mark Sanchez for a 2017 conditional draft pick, it isn't clear if the Broncos is still as adamant as before in pursing the 49ers QB, according to SFGate.

Another team that could end up securing Kaepernick is the Cleveland Browns. Rumors about a potential agreement between the NFL player and the team were fueled by the two parties' mutual interest. Aside from Kaepernick's desire to play for the Browns, head coach Hue Jackson has also stated that he wants to get the athlete to in his team's roster, CBS Sports reported.

"Scouting him, I fell in love with the kid," Jackson said. "Leader, won a ton of games at Nevada, really impressive when you talked about him, strong, all the tools to win in the NFL. No doubt in my mind he was going to be good."

Lastly, the third team that has joined the Broncos and Browns is the New York Jets. But, as noted by CBS Sports, the Jets may not be as determined as the two other teams to sign Kaepernick. After all, it can always retain free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick in its roster than get a new quarterback.

But, if the deal between the free agent and the Jets turn sour, primarily due to the former's salary demands, then the New York team might fight off the other offers just to secure Kaepernick's signature.

Of course, trade details regarding these three teams are only based on speculations. Also, Kaepernick could still make a not-so-surprising move and decide to extend his stay with the 49ers.
