For some time now, quarterback Sam Bradford has been the center of speculations after saying that he wants to be traded by the Philadelphia Eagles. Although it is not yet clear where he will go, various teams have already expressed their interest in signing the quarterback.
These teams include the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos. It probably doesn't come as a surprise that these teams are looking to get a new quarterback they have their own issues with their passers, Bleeding Green Nation reported.
For the Broncos, this problem emerged after Payton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler signed with a different team. Although Denver already has Mark Sanchez, he's probably not yet ready for the position of starting quarterback.
The San Francisco 49ers, on the other hand, seems to have a complicated relationship with current quarterback Colin Kaepernick. For a while, it has been rumored that Kaepernick wants to leave the roster but other reports indicate that there's no bad blood between these two.
As for the Bills, the Buffalo franchise still has Tyrod Taylor as its starting quarterback. Although he has proven his worth in the roster, the issue with him, however, may be out of the Bills' control. As noted by Buffalo News, after next season, Taylor will become a free agent, which means there's a big chance that he'll move to another team once he sees a good offer. This is probably a main reason why the Bills are on the lookout for its next quarterback.
There have been reports that these teams have already approached the Eagles for a possible trade with Bradford. However, it seems negotiations are not moving forward. As noted by Bleacher Report, the Broncos are allegedly starting to think of backing away from the deal because the Eagles' asking price for Bradford is too high, even for a team that has no starting quarterback.
With the Eagles' decision to stand its ground regarding Bradford's value, it seems this is a strategy utilized by the team to keep the athlete in its roster. Even though there have been talks that Philadelphia is targeting to get Carson Wentz or Jared Goff at this year's draft, perhaps the team still wants to have a last resort quarterback in case it doesn't get any of these athletes.
