Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and DeMarcus Cousins took a break from their hectic Team USA schedule to play a game of "Taboo" against the staff members of GQ magazine. But the members of the Olympic team soon realized that just like basketball, the party game can get a bit intense too.

Playing a three-on-three game of "Taboo," Durant of the Golden State Warriors, Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cousins of the Sacramento Kings tried to guess various mystery words just by using certain clues.

Some of the words that the NBA stars tried to decipher included petrified, wired, bend, vine and wall.

Durant, Irving and Cousins' team got an early lead but struggled on a few of the words. At one point, the new member of the Warriors community got a lot of heat from his teammates when the clock ran out and he wasn't able to provide a single clue for the mystery word. In his defense, Durant, he didn't know how to describe the word properly without breaking the rules of the game.

But out of all the players, the one who really took the game seriously was Cousins. Throughout the game, whether he was guessing the word or the one providing clues, the frustration on his face can be clearly seen.

After a few rounds, Team GQ took the lead with a score of 5-3. But eventually, Team USA was able to make a come-from-behind victory and finished the game with a score of 7-6.

As for the rest of the team, Team USA just came from their third exhibition game before Rio Olympics kick off in August, The Stashed reported. In the game, which was held at the Oracle Arena in Golden State, Team USA took on China and won the match with a 49-point lead. The team still has two more exhibition games to go before heading to the Olympics.

The team's next match will be held on July 29 and will take place in Chicago's United Center. It will be against Venezuela. Then, on Aug. 1, Team USA will head to Texas' Toyota Center to take on Nigeria.
