The 58th Presidential Inauguration will kick off tomorrow at 11.30 a.m. ET. Expect to see this solemn occasion graced by society's who's who, with performances to remember by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Jackie Evancho.
It is not everyday that a new president will go through an inauguration event. In fact, the inauguration of a new president happens to be one of the most memorable events in the U.S. during that particular year, and January 20, 2017 marks the inauguration of Donald Trump as the President of the United States of America. There will be an inauguration party which will be held today, and here we are with a list of celebrities who would be performing.
Sam Moore
Sam Moore, who happens to be one half of the soul duo Sam and Dave, is set to get the grooves moving. Already 81 years of age, Moore said, "I was a participant in the civil rights movement and have seen many positive changes and advancement in my 81 years of living in this wonderful country, but I know we must all join hands and work together with our new President. I honestly believe that if we can accomplish this, the best is yet to come. We all as Americans need to unite behind our new President and give him a chance. He needs everyone’s support to make America greater, stronger and an even better country.”
The Rockettes
The Rockettes is a dance troupe that will also be at the inauguration to perform. While there were several members who did not want to perform, the dance troupe did allow them to remain back home, while the rest who are agreeable with Trump would grace the dance floor.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir is no stranger to presidential inaugurations, having performed at five of them already. Their performances in the past have picked up awards along the way, and with 360 members in the choir, you can expect a treat for your ears. Only one member, Jan Chamberlin, decided to drop out.
Jackie Evancho
Jackie Evancho would have the honor of belting out the Star Spangled Banner at the 58th Presidential Inauguration. Evancho is the only solo singer for the event, and is no doubt one of the biggest stars among all. She has had brushes with positions of power before, having performed not once, but twice at Obama events in the past.
Toby Keith
Toby Keith is certainly looking forward to be part of the inauguration event, and the country star did mention before that there will be no apologies forthcoming from him for performing, as he takes pride in sharing this historical moment for the country and military.
There will also be a luncheon program that will happen earlier in the day, and just in case you were wondering what kind of grub that will be served, the official Senate website has so kindly put up the luncheon recipes for all and sundry to peruse, and perhaps, drool over.
Rabbi Marvin Hier of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Reverend Franklin Graham of Samaritan's Purse and The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and Bishop Wayne T. Jackson of Great Faith Ministries International will perform readings and dispense with the benediction at the Presidential Inauguration on January 20, 2017.
