Get ready for an out of this world gaming experience. Publisher 505 Games announced space simulation game Adr1ft will become available on July 15 for PlayStation 4. Now, here's what is currently known about Adr1ft gameplay, features and release date.

As we mentioned above, PlayStation 4 users have the privilege to get the game first. For Xbox One users, the Xbox One Store lists the game for a September 16 release date. Adr1ft was initially launched on VR platforms like Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Engadget reported the space game would become available on PlayStation VR this fall.

Based on its trailer, Adr1ft is much more gorgeous when played in VR platform. With stunning visuals, players would really feel that they are floating in space while looking down on Earth.

Tech Times said Adr1ft is the first game that was developed by Three One Zero, Adam Orth's development team. Orth was a former Microsoft creative director. He resigned after Twitter war with the company about Xbox One's "always on" feature.

When Orth left Microsoft, he apologized for his comments and indiscreet references to the confidential Xbox project.

Interestingly, Orth developed the gameplay of Adr1ft right after he resigned from Microsoft. "I basically woke up one day and my life was just in ruins. That's where this game came about," he told in Polygon.

Ad1ft follows the journey of Alex Oshima, survivor of a tragic mishap in outer space. Unfortunately for the space engineer, she does not remember what happened to her space ship.

Most of player's missions are figuring out how to repair Alex's destroyed space ship while controlling her oxygen level. Players also have to put her memories together.

Even though there are no enemies in the game, players have to be carefully while floating around the space ship. The ship has some hazardous stuff like arcing electricity from damaged equipment.

In a review from IGN, it says developers of Adr1ft have done a good job of creating a feeling of isolation in a game. It also features breathtaking visuals such as scenic view of Earth and stars. In addition, it has well-developed 3D movement control. On the downside, the game lacks thrilling story.

Adr1ft will become available next week with $19.99 price tag.
