Android Nougat
Latest on Android Nougat roll out. It gets rather tricky figuring out just which particular smartphone model will be on the receiving end of the latest Android operating system version.

Android 7.0 Nougat has been released for more than a couple of months now as Google’s most recent mobile operating system, with the Nexus range of devices picking it up in August first this year -- naturally. All that is left is for the other mobile carriers to follow suit, pandering to the different hardware configurations based on the handsets that they offer. When it comes to smartphones from LG, we do know that the LG V20 holds the distinction as the only smartphone that arrives with Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box, and the latest whiff of rumors point to other LG devices such as another flagship device, the LG G5, alongside the previous generation flagship LG G4, the LG G Stylo, and the LG V10, too, would be on the receiving end of Android 7.0 Nougat -- although that will happen within the time span of the next few years.

With the LG V10 first arriving with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, it has since managed to qualify for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update -- so to see it make the jump to the Android 7.0 Nougat update would be more than welcome. As for the first LG flagship device for the year, the LG G5, which arrived with Android 6.0 Marshmallow in tow, then a software update is certainly due for a device of its stature in the overall pecking order. Some rumors point to a mid-November release with Android 7.0 Nougat in the picture, but we will take those rumors with a pinch of salt.

As for owners of the multimedia powerhouse known as the LG V10, they might just have to play the patience card all the way until March next year before they are able to obtain a whiff of an update. There was at least one report of spotting a LG G3, a 2-year old device with Android 7.0 Nougat running on it in a GeekBench result -- now that would make for some very interesting mulling over, don’t you think so? If the LG G3 was to actually pick up Android 7.0 Nougat, then February 2017 has been one of the dates thrown about on the rumor mill.

What about the other LG devices like the LG G Stylo? That too, is said to be just a matter of time before the Android 7.0 Nougat update arrives. With Android 7.0 Nougat in tow, you will find that your LG smartphone will gain a new lease of life, since there are more new features thrown into the mix that will allow you to maximize the enjoyment of your respective handsets. For instance, Android 7.0 Nougat allows one to switch between apps with a double tap, as well as have you run a couple of apps side by side. At least this paves the way for some YouTube goodness while composing a message to another friend without having to stop one.

US LG smartphone owners as mentioned above will simply have to be patient until LG and the different mobile carriers confirm the availability of the Android 7.0 Nougat update release.
