Android M 6.0 Marshmallow Update Release Date For LG G3, G4 and V10 on T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint and AT&T

LG smartphones are no exception for the new Android Marshmallow (Android M). The update started on South Korea, and found its way to U.S. LG G3 and G4 is now on the list of T-Mobile Android M roll out. However, LG V10's Android M update is scheduled next week for T-Mobile. Now, here's the latest news about Android Marshmallow rollout to LG gadgets.

LG G4 users from Poland received their Marshmallow update in October. After that, the new Android firmware fully rolled out on December 23. According to International Business Times, Sprint released Android Marshmallow to LG G4 users in December. Then AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon released the Android M for G4 in February.

On the other hand, LG G3 received its first taste of Marshmallow in the United States. Verizon subscribers who are using LG G3 can already update their smartphones into Android Marshmallow. T-Mobile also released the update for their G3 users. For now, other U.S. carriers like AT&T and Sprint are still expected to do the same.

In addition, LG G3 units in Canada finally received the Android Marshmallow update.

Meanwhile, T-Mobile senior product manager Des Smith confirmed that the Marshmallow update in V10 is expected to be released next week. In a Tech Times report, there's still no specific date for T-Mobile's release of Android M to V10. T-Mobile is the second U.S. mobile carrier to bring Marshmallow to its V10 users. Verizon is the first to release the latest version of Android.

However, AT&T users of LG V10 are still waiting for the confirmation of the update. Sprint subscribers are also waiting if Sprint will offer this LG smartphone.

Android Marshmallow is said to be the best version of Android yet. The latest version brings new features and enhancements for smartphones. One of these is the improvement of copying and pasting. In addition, the software introduces Now on Top and battery-friendly Doze mode. Fingerprint scanner is also included in the new operating system.

Interestingly, the latest OS of Android has doubled its share of the Android market. It was measured through the visitors of the Google Play over a seven-day period. Android M users increased by 4.6 percent from 2.3 percent last month, according to Forbes.
