Samsung is easily one of the most biggest cheerleaders when it comes to Google's open source operating system of Android, but the newest version of 6.0 (also known as Android M or Marshmallow) still hasn't come to most of the "newer" (less than two years) Samsung devices yet.  This is the latest news about Android M 6.0 Upgrade Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge+, Note 5, Note 4, Note Edge, and S5 on US Cellular, Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T, and Sprint.

There isn't really much that has changed since last we reported on the Android upgrade to Samsung devices last week, and a new update to an article on Gotta Be Mobile confirms that.  We all know that the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were both announced at the last Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016, and it will come with Android M right out of the box when it ships to buyers in the United States.

Of all the carriers to receive the upgrade, the most obvious to receive it is last year's flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge.  T-Mobile was the first to receive it, and then Sprint was able to get it.  Assuming that it hasn't come to Verizon, AT&T, or US Cellular already, users of those carriers with a Galaxy S6 should check their "Settings" to see if the update is available as an Over The Air (OTA) update.  If you are a Canadian user for Telus, the upgrade should be available today.

In fact, Telus has actually confirmed that Galaxy Note 5 will be arriving today as well.  In fact, it is also supposed to be out for the Verizon version of the popular phablet.  T-Mobile has also confirmed it, and AT&T has undergone a beta and will reportedly start rolling out soon.

As for the flagship from two years ago, the Samsung Galaxy S5, it will also be receiving an update, but only a question of when.  It is known that T-Mobile is getting it, and if it is getting it, then the other carriers of US Cellular, Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint will follow suit.

T-Mobile has also confirmed that it will be receiving Version 6.0 on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and its phablet partner, the Galaxy Note Edge.  Some say that it will be receiving the upgrade sometime in March and April, and possibly the same can be said for the Samsung Galaxy S5.

As for other Samsung users, the Galaxy Tab S2 (the 8-inch and 9.7-inch models) will get their fair share of Marshmallow after April, followed by the Galaxy Alpha in June.
