Considering that the latest version of Android, version 6.0, also known as Android M or Marshmallow, has rolled out a few months ago, it would be wise for users of newer Samsung devices to check their "Settings" to see if the latest version is available for an Over The Air (OTA) download.  If it isn't, then here is the latest news about Android M Version 6.0 Marshmallow Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Note 4, and S5 on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and Sprint.

It's not even worth saying that the latest flagship of the Galaxy S7 has Android 6.0 right out of the packaging, but if you have last year's flagships of the Samsung Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge, and the Galaxy S6 Plus, these are the ones that should have the Marshmallow upgrade.

Gotta Be Mobile reports that Sprint has received its Android upgrade for those particular devices, and that also goes for Verizon as well as T-Mobile.  In addition to that, there are reports from US Cellular that these devices have received their upgrades.  The only one that seems not to have the upgrade is AT&T, but it does have confirmation of an imminent release date for the Galaxy S6 as well as other Galaxy S6 models, including the Note 5.

Speaking of the Note 5, a recent report from Neurogadget states that Android 6.0.1 has begun to rollout in several countries all around the world.  In the United States, it came to Sprint as a rather large download of over 1 GB in size.  It also came to Verizon, but there were reports of errors like trouble with the Internet connection, frequent disconnection of data, and problem loading files or web pages.  It shouldn't be long before the other carriers receive it as well, and Tech Radar reports that it has come to T-Mobile.

As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge, the first batch of updates are already out.  Sprint, for example, has its version as well as US Cellular.  T-Mobile has confirmed its updates, so it is pretty much on its way for other carriers.

So what about the flagship from two years ago, the Samsung Galaxy S5?  If you have this device, you should know that you will be getting it, as it has already started to roll out with users in Korea.  In fact, if you are a Sprint subscriber, you should already have it.  T-Mobile has recently moved to a Testing phase with the device, so that is a good sign.  This also goes for the Galaxy S5 Mini.

It doesn't look good for uses of the Galaxy S4, S3, and lower.  However, it is possible that the Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8, Galaxy J3, Galaxy Alpha, and Galaxy Tab S2 will receive it.  In fact, the Galaxy Tab S2 just began to roll out.
