The tech giant might accomplish it by simply adding a new wireless chipset into the wearable. By doing so, the watch will have more functions, such as messaging, phone calls, weather updates, location tracking and Apple Pay.

Furthermore, the Watch 2 could be released with a brand-new strap. Dubbed as Magnetic Wristband, this new watchstrap offers variety of uses for its wearers. According to AppleInsider, the strap could be could be wrapped around the Watch to protect the device. In addition, it could be a stand for the Watch, making it a bedside alarm clock.

Lastly, rumors say Apple Watch 2 may also have FaceTime camera, which can be used to make video calls.
