Cooking icon Ayesha Curry announced her new decision to use her public notoriety to be more vocal about her Christian faith, and lead by example. As author of recipe book and New York Times bestseller  "The Seasoned Life:  Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well" Curry is using her food empire to show her priority to God. Although she said she knows this approach can bring her disrepute from people who are non-religious, the wife of Golden State Warriors basketball legend Stephen Curry asserts she is not afraid.

The 27-year-old food industry entrepreneur said she isn't interested in preaching or telling people how to live. Rather, she plans on practicing Christian values and showing the world what it means to be a Christian.

"Often Christianity is misunderstood because a lot of Christian preachers focus on condemning actions and thoughts that are 'un-Christian' rather than to show a path of acceptance and love, that actually form the core of Christianity," she said.

The Currys share the same strong Christian bond. In fact, they met at their North Carolina church, the Central Church of God, during their teenage years.  She revealed in an interview that she and her husband believe in doing well, and also in doing it for God. With this principle guiding them, she said whatever they do is grounded strongly on Christian virtues and they do it for God's greater glory.

However, she added their way of witnessing to Christ does not involve what she calls "verbal intimidation."

She said her idea of sharing her faith is not by posting scripture verses or by taking people on tours to religious sites and churches. Instead, she plans on incorporating her faith into her cooking so her fans not only gain creative ideas about food, but also gain a deep insight into Christianity.

She believes Christianity should not remain a faith that is propagated by preaching and judging people. Rather, she said Christians should practice their faith and be living example of the teachings of Christ.

Critics have claimed she is only successful because of her husband's fame. Undaunted by these criticisms, Ayesha said she prefers to focus on God alone. She said she believes when people make God the center of their lives, things simply fall into place because "[God] truly knows what's right for you."

The new recipe book contains 100 recipes, many for busy families. The webpage touting the book is anchored with the biblical verse, Matthew 5:16.

Curry also launched a few products including olive oil and waterproof aprons for both cooks and their offspring.

Her first career was as an actress, known for Underground Street Flippers (2009), Dan's Detour of Life (2008) and Rachael Ray (2006).
