Recently, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner shared their thoughts on their current situation. And, even though sources say that the chances of the two getting back together are pretty slim, both agree that the most important thing in their lives right now is their family.

During an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show earlier this week, Affleck talked about his career, current projects and personal life. Before going into his upcoming film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the actor gave an update regarding his current relationship with ex-wife Garner.

According to the actor, they spend time with each other regularly for their three kids.

"We're good friends and we're doing our best, and the kids are fabulous and we're working on our best for them," he said during the show according to Mirror.

One of the things that they're planning on doing as a family is going on a vacation in Europe. He'll probably take Garner and their kids Violet, Samuel and Seraphina there this spring once the "Dawn of Justice" follow-up "Justice League" begins filming there, People reported.

But aside from Affleck, Garner also made a surprising revelation regarding their relationship when she did an interview with Vanity Fair. Despite telling the magazine that he's the love of her life, she opened up about her emotional issues with Affleck.

"He's just a complicated guy," she said during the interview. "I always say, 'When his sun shines on you, you feel it.' But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it's cold. He can cast quite a shadow."

But, during the same chat with Vanity Fair, Garner also echoed that Affleck said about doing what they can for their kids.

After hearing about the interview, Affleck addressed what his ex-wife said and acknowledged that her statements were fair and that she's allowed to talk about her feelings and experiences in their relationship.

"She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with," he told the New York Times. "So she could say, 'Look, I already talked about it - I don't want to do it again. It's fine."

He said that Garner is a great person and they're on "great terms."
