The rise of ISIS is allegedly predicted by the Bible. According to the author of various Christian-based conspiracy theory books, the Bible detailed that the rise of the terror group will lead to war and global devastation.

World War 3 can be triggered by the continuous atrocities that the ISIS is carrying out, author Michael D. Fortner says. The alleged Bible expert also said that the war might start along the River Euphrates.

In his YouTube video promoting his books, the author shared the contents of the Revelations Chapter nine in the Bible and interpreted what they meant. "Four angles bound at the Euphrates River will be released to kill one-third of mankind," the contents read.

According to him, this means that WWIII will take place in the region of the Euphrates River, which starts in Turkey and flows through Syria then Iraq. "Half the cities that ISIS has taken are literally on the Euphrates River, and they have formed a caliphate, which is the first step to reviving their Islamic empire," he explained.

He asserted that what is currently happening in Syria and Iraq is no ordinary war. He said that this will blow up into a global scale.

"What is happening in Syria and Iraq is not just another war it will grow to become World War Three," he said. "If you look at a map of the cities ISIS has taken you will see something very significant, the significance is in Revelations chapter nine," he added.

He is not the only one who has a conspiracy theory regarding the ISIS under his belt though. Other theorists claimed that the rise of ISIS has also been predicted by a Quatrain of the Nostradamus. The site, Nostradamus 2242  asserted that the Third World War will begin in 2015 and end in 2242, lasting for a total of 27 years.

Critics were quick to laugh these theories off, though. Some said that it is impossible for the Quatrain of Nostradamus to have predicted the rise of ISIS because it was already used by earlier theorists to say Saddam Hussein is the third and last anti-Christ. They even said Hussein can trigger WW3.  A former pastor, Professor Gary Shogren said that many are making false prophecies to make money and be famous.
