The popular computer and mobile game, Clash of Clans, has recently had two updates. A recent one on April 30th gave players the Air Sweeper and so much more. The update for May 2015 also gives players some goodies, and there is certainly more on the way.
As Product-Reviews has reported, a recent update landed on May 5, 2015. According to AllClash, here are some of the updates that occurred after that time.
For those that thought they had finished the Goblin Map, you might want to take another look as the update bought new extra loot to several levels that already have been defeated. Added together, Clash of Clans players can get a couple of millions in loot and is really worth checking out.
Clash of Clans players will also enjoy that you will no longer see Hidden Teslas that are upgrading, and you don't have to move them outside your base anyore to not reveal potential other Hidden Tesla locations.
This May 5, 2015 update follows an update that took place on April 30th. The Full Changelog from Supercell reports these changes to the game at the end of April:
There is a new anti-air defense known as the Air Sweeper which can push back groups of flying enemies with strong blasts of air. Improvements have also been made to the defense. From now on, defense ranges can now be seen even when the defense is under construction, defense modes can now be changed even when the defense is under construction, and defensive buildings now initially point away from the TH in combat, except for the previous mentioned Air Sweeper. There are also interface improvements for a one-time name change, which a lot of players like.
Another improvement is the Clan bookmark, which allows the player to Bookmark up to 30 Clans using the plus sign icon on any profile page. Clash of Clans players can also use the Clan War attack army preview, which will allow inspection with anything missing being flagged as red. Both of these improvements will help out for better battles.
As for the gameplay, the improvements reveal that attacking troops will not start chasing defending troops as far away as they used to. There are also tweaks to matchmaking like strength calculations being updated in Clan Wars matching to compensate for high level walls and heroes, and more. This might mean you might have to wait a bit longer for a better match, but it should be worth it.
For those unfamiliar with Clash of Clans, it is a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game that uses strategy elements. It was released to iOS in 2012, and quickly because a very huge success. It then came to Android about one year later, and its following continues to grow.
The game is all about building cities and then tearing down other enemy strongholds in order to get gold and elixir required to make your stronghold stronger. The player starts out going against goblins, and then builds a town in order to stop invasions as well as invading those of other players, or clan war.
The game was given a huge spotlight during the Super Bowl of this year. It was a simple ad showing Liam Neeson talking to his mobile device to another player of Clash of Clans in the same threatening tone that he used in the film Taken. It was worth every million that Supercell had to put in just to see it.
If you are looking to cheat in Clash of Clans, you have options. It is pretty easy to find sites devoted to cheating at the game, such as iMore and Supercheats.
According to The Guardian, Supercell has posted its annual revenues just recently, and the company has doubled its profits last year. Not only is this with in-app purchases and advertising for Clash of Clans, but the other two Supercell games of Hay Day and Boom Beach, both available for iOS and Android.
You can download Clash of Clans on your mobile device for free, but you will be paying if you want to buy any of the gems to unlock some new prizes within the game itself. Look for more updates in the month of May 2015 as well.
