Dancing with the Stars 2015 will have its premiere date of Season 20 on Monday, March 16 at 8p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Rumors of the cast begin to fly like crazy in February, and this is what rumors we know for Dancing with the Stars 2015 as far as the dancers are concerned. The official cast will be announced on Good Morning America on February 24th, between the hours of 8 and 9 AM ET, but this is what we know about the cast of Dancing with the Stars 2015. By the way, ABC released the names of 10 out of the 12 pro dancers on their official site.
One casting rumor that we haven't reported on yet is that a rumor that Rumer Willis will be on the show. The 26-year-old actress is the oldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, and she was recently photographed rehearsing with pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy at the Millennium Dance Complex in Studio City, California, according to Enstarz and US Weekly. Chmerkovskiy tweeted last week that he was "literally about to meet my partner RIGHT NOW #DWTS", and then followed up that tweet with "WOW".
This leads to the question of who else might be competing in Dancing with the Stars Season 20. According to Wet Paint, the Dancing with the Stars showrunner Rob Wade has stated that he was a cast the "pops", so don't be surprised if you see some very big names in Season 20.
Another rumor of who is in the cast could be Grammy winner Lalah Hathaway, the daughter of singer Donny Hathaway, according to Inquistir. A lot of it is the result of a tweet at DWTSGossip.
Some other possibilities with teen heartthrob Ross Lynch as well as the current bachelor of ABC's sister show to Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor. One of them could be Roseanne Barr, who tweeted that she wanted to be on Dancing with the Stars, which would imply that she was asked.
We have reported that Russell Wilson might show up on Dancing with the Stars if he won the Super Bowl, but this just didn't happen. Considering that the Patriots did win, and Rob Gronkowski had a touchdown in the second quarter, it seems like that could be a possible substitute, assuming that the people who choose the stars of Dancing with the Stars think that way. Another pro football wild card on the Dancing with the Stars is a rumor that Patriot and Super Bowl champ Malcolm Butler could also be dancing.
According to heavy.com, one of the rumored dancers could be Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. For those unfamiliar with the man, he is the son of the New York State Senator and U.S. Attorney General Robert Francis "Bobby" Kennedy, and a Kennedy on the dance card would be a definite first for the show. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is an environmental activist, author, and radio host, currently co-hosting Ring of Fire.
The biggest surprise could be Jack Nicholson, who actually called back and said that he loves the show, but "he'll think about it". It would be quite something he Jack were to appear on the show.
Dancing with the Stars is set to have its premiere Season 20 episode on Monday, March 16 at 8p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Currently, the stars of Dancing with the Stars (the dancers, and not the celebrities) are involved in a tour known as DWTS Live, which will conclude on February 15th. Joining the dancers is the winner for Season 19, Alfonso Ribeiro.
Hopefully, a lot of the rumored cast is going to be fact, but here is who I think will appear, so far:
Rumer Willis
Ross Lynch
Roseanne Barr
Either Malcolm Butler or Rob Gronkowski (more likely the second)
Chris Soules
Lalah Hathaway
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Those who really want to see who the official cast should tune into Good Morning America on February 24, 2014, as this is when the cast of Dancing with the Stars we'll be made official and we will see how right we are.
