Bungie is set to release a large expansion pack for Destiny. The Rise of Iron DLC is expected to be launched at June's E3 conference. While some are waiting for the Destiny 2, the forthcoming downloadable content is good news for many Destiny gamers. It reportedly contains bigger content than the two previously released DLC packs.

Tech Times reported the Rise of Iron DLC will be introduced in June during the E3 event, and it will become available on different consoles in September.  As for the authenticity of the DLC pack, Kotaku says two insiders who are familiar with Bungie's projects confirmed the expansion.

According to PC Advisorthe Rise of Iron expansion pack will introduce new raid. Although the complete details are still kept under wraps, there is a strong indication the raid will be Fallen-centric. Insiders claim the content is "based loosely" on a raid that was deleted from 2015's House of Wolves.

Interestingly, the upcoming DLC is reportedly larger than Destiny's previous DLC packs -- The Dark Below and House of Wolves. It is also not clear if the Rise of Iron will be as big as The Taken King. Take note that the latter introduced a new subclass and new playable zone, as well as loads of mission and a new raid.

The leaked poster of Rise of Iron DLC shows Iron Banner Captain Lord Saladin holding an axe or hammer. He is also accompanied with some wolves. So far, it is not yet confirmed how the expansion is related to Destiny's regular Iron Banner PVP event. For some gamers, they hope the expansion will feature usable battleaxes.

We are looking forward to hearing more about Rise of Iron DLC at June's E3 conference.

On the other hand, GameSpot has reported Destiny 2 will be released in 2017. Taken King director Luke Smith is tasked to develop the game.

The development of Destiny 2 was announced earlier this year as part of the Activision Blizzard earnings report. As of now, there are no official details about its contents and features, but it is going to be a "full game sequel."

So far, Destiny has three expansions: The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King. The forthcoming Rise of Iron expansion will definitely bring new and exciting contents to gamers.  Recently, the game achieved 30 million registered players.

We'll give updates as soon as we know more.
