Dragon Ball Z Xenoverse DLC 3 Review: Powerful Characters Introduced From Resurrection of F

The Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC Pack 3 went live June 9 featuring five new Parallel Quests, two new Masters including Elder Kai and Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, as well as eight new Master Quests, seven Z-Souls and 14 new skills, said Youth Health magazine.

The New Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC Pack 3 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC also features super attacks, ultimate attacks, and skills of three featured characters SSGSS Goku, SSGSS Vegeta and Golden Frieza, as well as two new accessories (Tagoma's Scouter & Turtle Hermit set), one new gesture and two costumes, including the Turtle Hermit & Gohan's Tracksuit set.

Fans have been anticipating the release of the expansion pack, especially when Bandai Namco confirmed the release on their official Tumblr page which said, "Save The Date 'DBZ' Fans, The 'Resurrection of F' DLC Pack will be going LIVE June 9th and it is packed with Saiyan Approved Awesomeness."

Earlier, Bandai Namco also announced on its official Facebook page the Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC will add Resurrection F Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegeta, Golden Frieza and Jaco the Galactic Patroller as playable characters.

The report added that in the new expansion pack, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku's hair will turn blue to acquire "godly ki", instead of the usual blue, while in Super Saiyan form. Frieza's new ability is to turn villains into gold during his "ultimate evolution" but this takes too much strain on his stamina. Both Frieza and Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku have maintained their special moves, including the Ultimate Kamehameha and the Emperor's Death Beam Technique.

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, new the Dragon Ball Xenoverse update requires 520MB of memory for download.

To raise the level cap to 99, the expansion pack released this patch notes for update:

  • Added data for Resurrection 'F' pack
  • Added World Tournament functionality
  • Increased level cap to 99
  • Added new chat phrases
  • Added new Event Quests
  • Fixed bugs relating to knockback combos online
  • Rebalanced several skills
  • Rebalanced several Z-souls

However, fans of the popular video game (and the anime series as well), will enjoy more perks than their counterparts elsewhere. A downloadable code is embedded in the ticket when they watch the movie Dragon Ball: Resurrection F, according to VC Post.  But they still have to buy the Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLC 3 for $9.99 both inside and outside Japan. Players who want to buy all the four Dragon Ball Xenoverse DLCs will have to shell out $24.99, the report added.
