Microsoft has unveiled the details of the upcoming "Forza Horizon 3" during the ongoing E3 event in Los Angeles. As explained by the company, the new installment in the "Forza Horizon" series will come with new various features such as synced co-op gaming and a personalized soundtrack.

One of the main features that gamers will surely notice about the game is its setting. According to Microsoft, it chose Australia as the setting of the game because it truly captures the open-world essence.

"As one of the most beautiful and varied countries in the world, Australia makes the perfect setting for 'Forza Horizon 3' and the team at Playground has translated the Land Down Under into the largest and most diverse open world ever seen in the 'Forza Horizon' series," the developers stated in the game's website.

"Just like the real place, the Australia of 'Forza Horizon 3' is absolutely massive - in fact, it is twice as big as 'Forza Horizon 2's' map," they added. "More importantly, 'Forza Horizon 3's' vision of Australia captures the spectacular natural beauty, the tremendous diversity, and the environmental variety that makes the country one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world."

Aside from the new setting, the upcoming game will also allow co-op gameplay that can support up to four players. Once friends play together, their in-game worlds will synchronize which makes syncing between players and joining game sessions much easier.

In addition, Microsoft also integrated its Groove Music Platform to the game, which means players will be able to choose from a variety of available radio stations to listen to as they're playing the game. They'll also be able to choose which tracks they want to play or which genre they want to listen to during the game.

"Forza Horizon 2" is expected to come out on Sept. 27, 2016 and will be exclusively available for the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows platforms. According to the developers, the game will feature a total of 350 cars to choose from, making it the title with biggest roster of vehicles in the "Forza Horizon" series.
