Rumors about The Elder Scrolls VI

The Elder Scrolls series is no doubt Bethesda's biggest success in terms of popularity and sales. The current Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was released five years ago, so it is not surprising if Bethesda launch the next installment at Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016.

The Elder Scrolls franchise became a benchmark for open-world games because of its endless quests and missions. In addition, players have plenty of areas to explore. The game is an an instant hit for fantasy-gaming fans, but at some point, the players are starting to get bored of it and want to know the launching of Elder Scrolls 6 or "Skyrim 2".

It is interesting to note that Bethesda vice-president Pete Hines addressed Elder Scrolls 6 as "Skyrim 2" in an interview.  Details about the next Elder Scrolls are still scarce, but several tech websites say the new location of the game might be situated in Argonia.

IGN reported Bethesda opened a new studio in Montreal, Quebec. Bethesda's Todd Howard said the company worked hard to assemble the best developers in Montreal and decided to open a studio there. It is expected the studio will contribute in the development of future Bethesda titles. For some gamers, they have speculation that the new studio will create the next installment of Elder Scrolls.

Interestingly, Bethesda made another video game hit in the form of Fallout 4, so some tech experts believe the developer might focus again on The Elder Scrolls franchise.

Bethesda assured their fans that they will offer high quality games instead of producing half baked products just so they can release a game every year. This message is clear when Bethesda VP Hines mentioned that they are not going to release many titles for the sake of profit.

Aside from Elders Scrolls 6, Dishonored 2 and Doom could also debut at E3 2016. Neurogadget reported the publisher will have its own show at the event, so it needs enough announcements and content to fill up the time. Will Bethesda finally unveil Elder Scrolls IV at the event? Let's wait and see.

This year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 is scheduled on June 14-16.

In related news, Bethesda's upcoming game Doom was presented in last year's E3 along with Fallout  4. For those who are not familiar with the title, Doom is a shooter game that was initially released in 1993 and is now getting a remake that will be playable in PlayStation4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows.
