Game developer Bethesda has just announced the release date for "Far Harbor," the latest expansion pack for "Fallout 4." And, aside from the announcement, the development studio also released an official trailer for the major add-on.

The trailer, which was released via YouTube, takes players to a new environment called Far Harbor, which is based in Maine. Unlike the other worlds featured in "Fallout 4," Far Harbor has higher levels of radiation, which means this area is crawling with various mutated creatures, as seen in the trailer.

But aside from these monsters, players will also come in between the warring factions living in the region.

"In 'Far Harbor,' a new case from Valentine's Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths," Bethesda wrote in the expansion's description. "Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world."

"Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople," the studio continued. "Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost?"

As noted by Bethesda, "Far Harbor" is the largest environment it has ever made for an expansion pack. And, with this massive regions, this means players will have more settlements to explore and new characters to meet. The studio also said that the expansion will feature new weapons and high-level armor.

"Far Harbor" will come out on May 19 and will be available for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. The standalone pack will cost $25 once it comes out but it is also included in the DLC Pass for "Fallout 4."

The upcoming expansion pack is the third DLC released by Bethesda for the game and is currently the only one to feature a story of its own. The first one, called "Automatron," was released in March and gave players the option to build their own robots. The follow-up DLC "Wasteland Workshop" was released in April and focused on build options for settlements as well as the ability to capture creatures and human characters.
