The Walking Dead is a runaway hit for AMC, and it is about to finish its sixth season with at least a few more planned. Since the show is based on a graphic novel series of the same name, The Walking Dead could go for quite a while if the fanbase does not tire of it (and it doesn't look like they ever will). Of course, a hit show demands a spinoff, and it looks like Fear the Walking Dead, which aired only six seasons last fall, was a hit enough to get a second season. This is what is known about the Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 Premiere and The Walking Dead Season 6 Finale.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 1 ended with a boat escape in an escape from the walkers that took over Los Angeles. The new trailer that you can see below shows the survivors on beaches, which are apparently consumed by walkers.
Season 2 of Fear the Walking Dead will begin shortly after Season 6 of The Walking Dead concludes. It is scheduled for April 10th, so the fans of the popular zombie connected television universe should be satisfied. Considering that these two shows take place in the same world, there has not been any crossovers. There was a lot of talk about blending the shows before Fear the Walking Dead began, but considering that The Walking Dead follows a graphic novel source material pretty closely, it is quite doubtful that this would happen on Fear the Walking Dead or its original The Walking Dead.
In fact, considering that these survivors of the respective shows are on opposite coasts, it would take a miracle like an airplane or something to get these two groups together. Also, fans of the comic book source material would not appreciate that type of crossover for ratings sake of the fans who only watch The Walking Dead intellectual properties on television.
As far as The Walking Dead Season 6is concerned, most fans know that Negan, one of the comic book's worst foes, will be making an appearance. We know from imdb that the gang is attacked by Negan in episode 13 of Season 6, which is promised to be "shocking".
The finale, which airs on April 3, 2016 is described as "In the aftermath of a tragic blow, Eugene falls captured by Dwight, a member of the Saviors, whom are hell bent on getting even with Alexandria, Negan teaches Rick and co a brutal lesson, which shows that Rick and co finally have something to fear."
As we have reported on before, this episode is believed to be the one where Negan kills Glenn, which is (spoiler alert) a major event that took place in the graphic novel source material in issue 100. This still remains to be seen.
