"Final Fantasy XV" is one of the much-anticipated games from Square Enix. Its released date is still unknown, but fans have something to cheer about this weekend. Square Enix is set to conduct the Final Fantasy XV's Active Time Report on Saturday, Jan. 30. The event will be spearheaded game director Hajime Tabata and marketing director Akio Ofuji.

Several gamers said the company may finally announce the official release date of Final Fantasy XV during the event. In an interview with Game Director Tabata, he said that Final Fantasy XV will become available this year, but he didn't reveal its firm release date.

Aside from the game's release, Square Enix officials will also unveil some of the battle footages and scenes of magic in the upcoming Final Fantasy game. In a newly released screenshot, published in Hardcore Gamer, it shows Noctis casting the iconic "Fire" spell, battling powerful Magitek Armor and conducting aerial strikes against enemies.

Fans can watch the event online through the official Youtube page of Square Enix. It will be streamed live beginning at 11 p.m. ET on Jan. 30, which would be Jan. 31 4 a.m. GMT for those in Europe, IGN reports.

Satoshi Kitade, one of the programmers of Final Fantasy 15, said the game is already playable from start to finish. What's being done now is test for any bugs and game issues to refine the gameplay. The developers are also working hard to make the game compatible to other consoles.

The battle scenes in FFXV are set to happen in a robust 3D environment, where characters can jump and run free. Moreover, there are specialized rings in the game that can control different elements in the environment.

The graphics in the next Final Fantasy game is tighter and clearer than its previous versions. It will also feature a dynamic weather system, which will make the character's clothes and hair appear realistic.

As for its gameplay, expect it to be challenging. The developers utilized "Active Cross Battle System" that will make the fighting system more intricate. It will also require more attention from players.

For those who want to secure their copy of the game, the title is now available for pre-orders in some online retailers. Amazon is now offering pre-orders for Final Fantasy XV at the price of $59 for PlayStation 4 and $59.96 for Xbox One consoles, including shipping cost. The site also indicated the game will be available on Dec. 30, 2016.
