On the night of October 22, influential evangelist Zhang Boli preached to around 3,000 people at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Los Angeles.
That night, over 300 Chinese-American immigrants dedicated their lives to Christ.
According to source, Zhang is the first Chinese pastor to have ever preached at the Crystal Cathedral. While the international Crystal Cathedral Ministries is going through a transitioning stage of bankruptcy and having to sell their property, the scene at the “Light of Life” musical evangelistic conference revealed a contrasting image of revival and passion for missions.
Zhang told The Gospel Herald after the event that standing on the Crystal Cathedral stage and seeing the overcrowded audience he was deeply moved. He thanked God for giving him such kind of opportunity to preach the gospel to 3,000 people at once and have 300 come to faith. He said that all the glory belongs to God.
Not only was the message life-changing and instructive, the musical performances left a memorable and exciting atmosphere that attracted much spectacle. China’s renown symphony orchestra conductor Timothy So, BIOLA University Symphony, and a hundred people choir consisting of church members from Greater Los Angeles joined hands in the spectacular performance that night.
The organizing committee consisted of the China Ministries International, Orange County Chinese Ministerial Fellowship, Greater Los Angeles Church Network, and Southern California Chinese Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship (FGBMF).
The success of this “Life of Life” evangelistic music concert is a testimony of the unity of the Southern California Chinese churches and ministries.
Zhang, who departed the next day to Singapore for new rounds of evangelism and trainings, urged the brothers and sisters to keep praying for his service ahead of him, and that wherever he scattered the seeds of the gospel there will be an abundant harvest.
