Even though the release of the iPhone 6S isn't even a month old, there is already talk about what will the iPhone 7 be like.  Considering that we have the 6S, it is sure that this will be the iPhone 7 including Release 2016 and other rumors.

According to Expert Reviews, it is believed that Intel will have a major win for their company as they will be supplying Apple's iPhone 7 with modems.  Generally, Apple has been doing its business with Qualcomm, but Intel could build a new SoC with both processor and LTE modem integrated into the same unit.  This could be the A10 chip, and it could be a big leap above the iPhone 6S current A9.

The iPhone for every year has always had some improvements, and it is somewhat difficult to predict what other kinds of improvements that the new iPhone 7 could have. One such advancement that has come up is that the iPhone 7 could be waterproof.  There is a technique known as Plasma-Assisted Chemical Vapor Deposition (PACVD), and it makes the internal components water resistant.  This technology has been around for a while, and you can have it specially done for your own mobile device.  The reason why this rumor is building speed is it was discovered in tear-downs of the iPhone 6S that it is partially waterproof, the iPhone 7 could just take it a step further.  Perhaps Apple wanted this for the iPhone 6S, but could perfect the technology in time.

Speaking of taking things a step further, would it be too much to ask for the iPhone 7 to have wireless charging?  It seems to be what a lot of other phones are doing, and even though there is nothing to substantiate this rumor, it would be interesting if Apple attempts it in pre-production.

Another rumor is that the iPhone 7 will be thinner, possibly between 6.0 and 6.6 mm thick, which is the thickness of the iPad Air 2.  Of course, a thinner phone would mean a lesser battery, unless Apple can figure out a way to work around it.

Should the phone be thinner, then this will mean the accessory manufacturers will have to create an all new kind of case.  It is possible that the iPhone 7 could have a slightly wider screen, because it seems the trend is to make the screen slightly bigger, unless it the phablet fad is going out of style.  As for the camera, the prediction is a dual-lens camera, and there are reports that Apple has been working on this technology for quite some time.

Sadly, we'll have to wait almost a full year to see if any of these rumors of the iPhone 7 are true, as the release date probably won't be until late 2016, around September and October.
