This is going to be a big week for Square Enix as they will be finally making some announcements about Final Fantasy 15.  This game has a huge fanbase, deep mythology, and well-developed characters, much like another game Square Enix has known as Kingdom Hearts 3. Less is currently known about Kingdom Hearts 3 compared to Final Fantasy 15, but some information has leaked out about both.  This is what is known about both Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 15 with release dates and news.

It seems to be unanimous that the release date for Final Fantasy 15 will be sometime in 2016, while Kingdom Hearts 3 will be appearing in 2017.  News Every Day reports that the pre-order of Kingdom Hearts 3 has appeared on Amazon with a release date of December 30, 2016.  In video game terms, this is essentially a placeholder for when the game does get announced.  Final Fantasy 15 had the same December 30 placeholder put on it a few years ago.

There are reports that customers receiving an email from Amazon saying that the Kingdom Hearts 3 title is scheduled to release on January 2, 2017, with the disclaimer of "no actual release date is confirmed at this time" and "apologies for any confusion this may have caused".

For those that aren't familiar with the Kingdom Hearts series know how it uses characters and worlds from Disney as well as Final Fantasy.  One of the biggest questions concerning Kingdom Hearts is what Disney characters and worlds will appear in the long-awaited third of the series.  Speculations have ranged from Disney properties like Big Hero Six, Tangled, and even the brand-new, still in theaters film of Zootopia.

As of right now, 2017 seems a long way away, and there really hasn't been much news on the Kingdom Hearts 3 front except for rumored Disney and Final Fantasy involvements, not to mention that this will be the last of the series, as far as the current storyline is concerned.  It is possible that Kingdom Hearts3 will set up some new series in the game, which would make a lot of sense as the fans probably want it.

This week, Square Enix will have an event known as "Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV" which will "offer new information on the game as well as key surprises that speak to the full entertainment experience", according to PC Advisor.  This event will take place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 7 PM PDT.

Those that want to watch the event can online as Square Enix will be livestreaming it on YouTube and Twitch.  It is expected that Final Fantasy should have its release date announced sometime in 2016 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.  We at the Gospel Herald want to make certain that we have a follow-up article on what will be shared at the event.
