Christian hip hop artist Lecrae will host the Unashamed Conference in September, promoting leadership and discipleship in an urban context with guest speaker Francis Chan. The conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, and will take place over the weekend of September 13-15.
Many well-known Christian leaders will speak and perform at the conference, such as Francis Chan, Trip Lee, DA. Horton, Eric Mason, and John O. Presenters will teach on Gospel-centered living in an urban context, focusing on relationships, social issues such as poverty, AIDS, and sex trafficking, and stewardship of time, money, and talent. The conference will also close with a concert each night.
The renowned Christian artist hopes that his ministry will exalt Christ beyond musical talent. “We started Reach Records to create a movement of unashamed people,” says Lecrae of his record label. He later co-founded Reach Life Ministries, which strives to be a “culturally relevant and biblically solid resource center to help train the next generation,” as a discipleship tool to supplement his Gospel-centered music.
