I don't know about you - but I've grown tired of the platitudes - the hollow statements of defiance.

"Our spirit will not be broken," our elected leaders tell us. "The terrorists will not win."

Well, the fact of the matter is - the terrorists are winning.

And they are winning thanks in large part to politically correct lawmakers and lax immigration policies.

The suspect in Tuesday's New York City terrorist attack - came to our shores -- allegedly through a diversity visa program. Our government was willing to sacrifice our safety for the sake of multiculturalism.

I shudder to imagine how many other Islamic radicals are lurking in the shadows - waiting to drive a pickup truck into a crowd of innocents - waiting to shout "Allahu akbar" as they wage their bloody jihad.

How many more people must die in the name of the religion of peace?

Whether we like it or not -- we are at war with radical Islam.

Americans have a choice - we can either be safe or we can politically correct.

We cannot be both.
