The Philadelphia Suns might lose another star player.

In an interview earlier this week, NBA star Markieff Morris has expressed his disappointment over the way things were handled in the Philadelphia Suns locker room, citing the "disrespectful" management style as a reason for his desire to get off the team. Saying that he no longer cares with regard the perception of the Philadelphia Suns of his behavior, Markieff Morris shared his discontent on his current NBA team.

Markieff Morris' negative remarks came in the heels of the abrupt trade made by the Philadelphia Suns which saw his brother, Marcus Morris, Danny Granger and Reggie Bullock leave the team and enter the Detroit Pistons locker room. In exchange for the three-player trade, the Philadelphia Suns got the second-round NBA pick of the Detroit Pistons for the year 2020.

While the Philadelphia Suns have yet to issue an official press release with regard the reason behind the decision to part with the three players, both Marcus and Markieff Morris deem it probable that the move was made in preparation for the entrance of then Portland Trailblazers star LaMarcus Aldridge. Needless to say, the supposed entry of the NBA star did not happen as Aldridge is now signed with the San Antonio Spurs following a brief flirtation over a possible spot with the New York Knicks.

However, Markieff Morris clarified that getting separated from his twin brother had nothing to do with his outburst. "If you are going to do something, do it," the irate Philadelphia Suns star explained, referring to the manner by which he and his brother learned of the NBA trade to the Detroit Pistons, according to Philly.com. He added, "The GM, I've been there longer than him, the coaches, everybody. I've been there the longest, and I don't get the respect to be like, 'Yo Keef, we are going to trade your brother. You are our future power forward.' I'm the future power forward. I'm the premier player of the team. That's just how business is done I guess."

The same sentiments were echoed by Marcus Morris. "I can stand on my own. I play on my own," the now Detroit Pistons star said, slamming the rumors that the twins are only fuming because they were separated and will no longer be able to play together in the same team. He added, "It's just the disrespectful side. What we did for the Suns, the pay cuts we took and for them to trade me without consent is what made me more disappointed and is what made me more upset."

As Markieff Morris clearly expresses his desire to be traded to another group, a number of NBA teams are reportedly interested in the Philadelphia Suns power forward. According to NESN, the Boston Celtics are keenly eyeing the potential entry of the NBA star to their team. Should the rumors be believed, then the Philadelphia Suns could land three players for the price of one.

The NESN report claimed that the Boston Celtics are willing to trade off James Young, Jared Sullinger and Perry Jones to acquire Markieff. As if the three for one package is not enough, the Philadelphia Suns might reportedly be offered by the Boston Celtics a draft pick on top of the deal. Apart from the Boston Celtics, sources reveal that the Toronto Raptors are also interested in signing the Philadelphia Suns star. At the moment, however, no detail with regard the potential offer by the Toronto Raptors for the said NBA star has emerged.
