New rumors suggest that the Cleveland Cavaliers might engage in a trade deal with the Sacramento Kings that involves Kevin Love and Demarcus Cousins. This potential move by the Cavs could be related to Kevin Durant joining the Golden State Warriors.

In a recent tweet, CST posted that the Cavs are looking to trade Love and Imam Shumpert to the Kings in exchange for Cousins and Ben McLemore. Apparently, after Durant announced his decision to join Golden State, Cleveland felt the pressure to build up its roster in order to enforce its NBA champion status next season.

The Cavs surely have something to be worried about for next year especially since the Warriors are emerging as the top contender for 2017 NBA championship series because of their current roster. After all, putting Durant next to Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green certainly makes Golden State a power house.

So, in order to build up its team, Cleveland could resort to trading some of its players in exchange for better ones. Cousins could certainly make a good addition to the Cavs' roster because despite his young age, he already has the experience to play for a champion team.

Transitioning to a different franchise will also be good for Cousins because it will give him to get away from his issues with the Kings. As revealed by former teammate Rajon Rondo recently, Cousins' issues with the coaching staff significantly affected the cohesion of the entire team last year.

"Too much tension," he told ESPN. "I've never witnessed or experienced a thing like that in my 10-year career."

But then again, if a trade does take place, it seems it wouldn't be fair for the Kings to give away Cousins in exchange for Love. After all, even though Love played for the reigning champions, his performance is still far from that of Cousins.

Their stats alone would show that Cousins plays on a higher level than cousins. For instance, last season, Cousins averaged 26.9 points per game. Love, on the other hand, only hand 16.
