For a while now, rumors have been swirling around the Cleveland Cavaliers and what they might end up doing with Kevin Love. But, as noted in recent reports, the 2016 NBA Champions might trade Love to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Kenneth Faried.

It will probably not come as a surprise if the Nuggets explore potential trade deals for Farried. For some time now, it has been rumored that the power forward is on the team's trading block.

As noted by Marc Stein of ESPN during the recent Lowe Post podcast, Farried has been a key contributor for the Nuggets. However, now that the team has managed to secure a healthy lineup of superstars, the team might consider trading away Farried in exchange for another player that could keep up with the fast-paced plays of the Nuggets.

That's where Love could come in. As pointed out by Fan Sided, the reason why Love seems to be struggling in keeping up with the current Cavs lineup is because he's not used to the paced set by star player LeBron James.

Before joining Cleveland, Love was with the Minnesota Timberwolves, a team known for its speed. Love soared during his time with the Timberwolves and even managed to reach an average of 26.1 points per game during the 2013-2014 NBA season.

However, after joining the Cavs in 2014, which is the same year when James signed with the team, Love's stats dropped drastically.

This is probably because he still can't get onboard James' playing pace, which is why Love oftentimes looked like a frantic player whenever he's on the court with the rest of the Cavs.

Unfortunately for Love, this particular reason could send him on the Cavs' trading block.

Being the current champions, the Cavs, of course, are looking to make the team even stronger next season. One way to do that is by removing the weakest links in the chain. Given their performance against the Golden State Warriors at the playoffs, it's apparent that Love is one of the team's ineffective players.

However, since Love comes from a championship team, the Cavs will probably demand at least two players from the Nuggets if a deal pushes through. Aside from Farried, they could also get Gary Harris, according to Sportsrageous. Both Harris and Faried are still young players that the Cavs can utilize to build up their roster.
