U.S. President Barrack Obama only has a few months left before he vacates the White House and one of the post-POTUS careers that he's considering doing in the future is becoming an NBA team owner. But, if this happens, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook said he would love to play for his team.

Last week, press secretary Josh Earnest confirmed that Obama is serious about owning a franchise in the NBA and this is one of the things that he's planning on doing after stepping down as president in January of next year, according to ESPN.

As noted by Earnest, this could happen "under the right circumstances" and even revealed that Obama has already entered discussions about becoming a member of an ownership group.

Back in November last year, Obama hinted during an interview with GQ that he would love to be the owner of the Chicago Bulls. He knows that current owner Jerry Reinsdorf will probably not step down from his position in the near future.

"Well, you know, I know Reinsdorf pretty good - he's not giving that thing up anytime soon," he said. "But I have fantasized about being able to put together a team and how much fun that would be. I think it'd be terrific."

As for who could lead the president's NBA team, Westbrook said that he would love to do it. This is according to the athlete himself after a brief chat with TMZ Sports.

"Who wouldn't want to play for the president?" he told the news outlet.

Westbrook, however, had no comment when the conversation switched to the status of one of his teammates. When asked where he things KD, which is short for Kevin Durant, will sign, Westbrook closed the door of his vehicle and drove away.

Durant, of course, has been the center of rumors and reports since he is expected to become a free agent on July 1. Although some sources are saying that he'll probably still remain in OKC, others are suggesting that he might end up with Miami Heat, New York Knicks, or even the Golden State Warriors.
