New rumors suggest that the Denver are ready to part ways with Kenneth Faried. Although it is not yet clear who he will get traded to, various reports state that it could be the San Antonio Spurs.
Like all teams in the NBA, the Nuggets are looking to build up its roster for next season through the upcoming 2016 NBA Draft, which is scheduled to kick off this week at June 23.
Of course, in the hopes of getting a good pick spot, the Nuggets could consider moving one of its key players, such as their energetic power forward Faried, also known as the Manimal.
As noted by Hoops Rumors, Faried is a good player with the Nuggets but he can be an even greater athlete with a different team. Currently, his perimeter game isn't looking too good but that's just because his teammates are also struggling with their outside shots.
Also, he's not being utilized enough by the Nuggets since he's still a reserve player. On the other hand, with the Spurs, he could still end up as a reserve player but he probably wouldn't mind since San Antonio have better chances of heading into the finals than Denver.
In addition, with the way head coach Greg Popovich rotates his players, Faried can surely expect to get increased playing time with the Spurs.
But actually, in the subject of trade rumors surrounding Faried, the Spurs are not the only franchise that will greatly benefit from the Manimal. According to Indy Cornrows, it will also be a good move for the Indiana Pacers to acquire Faried.
In Indiana, Faried can be easily paired up with Myles Turner. This center is known for his fast-paced plays and for his reliability in the perimeter. Faried can keep up with him and even complement his game by maintaining a position under the basket to dominate the rebound area or even score some points in the paint.
Of course, these details are based on rumors and speculations. Faried could end up getting traded to another team, or, Denver could get new players, either through the trade or draft, who work well with the Manimal.
