With training camp in full swing, NFL teams have been drilling game plays and strategies to the players nonstop. Hence, heated arguments and flaring tempers have become regular occurrences during the sessions. The weekend saw a physical altercation between Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant and second-year cornerback Tyler Patmon - a scuffle that the NFL team owner and general manager, Jerry Jones, likened to the 90s confrontations between famed players Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders.

Describing the Sunday fight among the Cowboys as a "throwback" to the way it was then with Sanders and Irvin, Jones pointed out that the physical and emotional arguments are "not new" to training camps. The NFL team owner further noted that the big crowd drawn in by the Cowboys while training further fueled the "excitement" which possibly contributed to the "after-the-whistle" action, according to his interview posted in the Dallas Cowboys website.

Bryant is currently the most prized NFL player of the Cowboys. Signing a five-year deal worth $70 million, the NFL star known as a "passionate" man when it comes to the game, eventually chose the high road and apologized to Patmon after the duo's heated confrontation. With cameras, reporters and more than 3,000 spectators gathered during the Cowboys' training session that day, the Pro Bowl receiver eventually decided not to let his emotions get the best of him and went over Patmon's side to hug it out with the cornerback.

Prior to their reconciliation, however, a number of Cowboys personnel and players attempted to interfere in their scuffle. While those efforts separated the warring duo every now and then, it was only when the NFL team's quarterback Tony Romo refereed that Bryant appeared to have calmed down. According to ESPN, Romo's interference caused the angry receiver to step back and halt from yet another presumed attack on Patmon. Bryant further calmed down when Cowboys coach Jason Garrett spoke with him after the practice.

Admitting that things got a "little overheated," fans of the NFL team began booing and yelling at Bryant after he showed no sign of stopping his attacks against Patmon. At one point during the training session, the prized receiver even went as far as throwing his mouthpiece at the Cowboys' cornerback and attempted to actually punch his teammate a few times.

Everything was eventually ironed out as the two opted to put the fight behind them and charge it to experience. "Oh, man, it's just brothers," shared Patmon, seemingly shrugging off the confrontation with Bryant, according to New York Daily News. The Cowboys cornerback added, "Brothers fight. That happens sometimes. We go at it. After that we squash it and it's over."
