No. 1 overall draft pick Jared Goff will finally get his chance to play this year when the Las Angeles Rams take on the Miami Dolphins. The lineup change was made after Rams fans expressed their disappointment in the team's offense which was led by former starting quarterback Case Keenum.

Since the start of the regular season, Goff has been watching games from the sidelines, never getting the chance to step onto the field to lead the team's offensive line. Instead, the Rams have been relying on Keenum to lead the squad, which is currently facing a 4-5 win-loss record.

However, things started to change after the Rams lost to the Carolina Panthers in their hometown. After watching the team's offensive plays, the fans started chanting "We want Goff." Then, despite winning the Week 10 game against the New York Jets, the Rams still performed rather poorly after failing to secure a touchdown. It also marked the third time in nine games that the Rams didn't reach the endzone.

Due to the need to improve the team's offense, Rams coach Jeff Fisher has decided to make Goff as the new starting quarterback of the Rams for the upcoming game on Sunday.

"Jared Goff's going to be under center this week at home against a really good defensive team in the Miami Dolphins, so big challenge ahead," he said.

"We're committed to this," he added. "We didn't do what we did this offseason and trade for Jared to just spot-play him over the next five or six weeks. Even though there's people out there saying, ‘Well you're doing it now because your playoff chances aren't real good.' Well, no, our playoff chances are still fine."

Fisher then noted that Keenum is no longer the team's starter, and will most likely serve as Goff's backup. The team will probably stick to this lineup if Goff manages to perform well against the Dolphins.

As for the young athlete, he noted that he is now ready to take on the responsibility of being the team's main passer.
"I think it's time," he said. "I'm ready to move forward and play. I'm just going to work hard and hopefully win."
