With many NFL teams currently struggling with their quarterbacks, Johnny Manziel's chances of returning to the league are looking good. According to rumors, he might sign with the Los Angeles Rams.

For some time now, it seems Manziel is working on improving his life. He recently went back to college and enrolled at Texas A&M. Last weekend, we was spotted watching a college football game between the Aggies and Arkansas at the AT&T Stadium.

Interestingly, during the game, Manziel was wearing a Rams hat. This led to speculations that he might be in talks with the team to become their quarterback.
Currently, the Rams' starting quarterback is Case Keenum with Sean Mannion as his quarterback. Much to the disappointment of Los Angeles fans, the team decided not to make No. 1 draft pick Jared Goff as its main passer due to his performance at practice seasons.

Given Manziel's attire last weekend, rumors suggest that the Los Angeles team might be looking to get him on their roster to serve as probably a No. 2 or even a third-string quarterback, which could then push back either Mannion or Goff.

Aside from the Rams, another team that could benefit from signing Manziel are the Cleveland Browns especially since Robert Griffin III and Josh McCown have been sidelined indefinitely due to their injuries.

However, according to Manziel, despite these rumors, it seems he won't be playing for the NFL anytime soon.

"I doubt that'll happen," he said when asked about his chances of getting signed by a team this season.

Another factor that will work against Manziel joining the NFL again is his suspension. Earlier in June, he was slapped with a four-game suspension after he violated the league's substance abuse policy.

This means that once he joins a team, he won't be able to play for four weeks due to his suspension. This indicates that any team that's willing to sign him will not be able to use him immediately.

Given how tight team's budgets are, it seems no franchise would want to risk their financial assets in someone who will be coming in with a suspension. There's also the matter of Manziel's controversial behavior, which could cause teams to think twice before signing him for their roster.
