The Seattle Seahawks celebrated a massive victory over the San Francisco 49ers during the weekend but lost their quarterback Russell Wilson due to an injury. Given the nature of his current condition, the Seahawks might consider bringing in a veteran free agent QB, such as Michael Vick.

Wilson was taken out of the game during the third quarter after getting knocked down by a sack from San Francisco linebacker Eli Harold. The hit was hard enough to bend Wilson's leg in a gruesome manner.

Following the injury, his backup, rookie QB Trevone Boykin was brought in to finish the game for the Seahawks. Despite his lack of playing experience, Boykin and the rest of the Seattle squad were still able to hold off the 49ers to finish the game with a final score of 37-18.

The victory for the Seahawks, however, was short lived due to Wilson's injury. It is not yet clear when he will be back or if he will be able to join the team in their upcoming game.

Since Boykin is now the only remaining quarterback in the Seahawks' roster, the team could look to signing a free agent. With Wilson's status still unknown, bringing someone in could serve as an insurance policy for the Seattle franchise.

One possible candidate is Vick, who last played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015 before becoming a free agent.

Vick, who has been playing in the NFL since 2001, would bring in a lot of veteran experience to the Seahawks if they decide to sign him. Of course, given his experience, he will serve as the team's starter with Boykin backing him up.

However, if the team does decide to include him in the roster, he will only probably play for one year.

As noted by Vick, he still intends to play in the NFL but noted this will most likely be his last season before he retires.

As for Wilson, he believes his injury is not that serious, despite how it looked like during the game against the 49ers.

"I don't think it's severe as it looked," he said. "I have mobility... You can always feel better when you win."
